Happy National Nutrition Month! Enjoy a Serving of Health Tips & Tricks to Celebrate

March is National Nutrition Month, a friendly reminder from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to get back to the basics of eating smart. Plus, it\’s the perfect time to recognize registered dietitian nutritionists as the go-to experts on keeping up those healthy habits. The Academy has some great resources to help you create the right eating style, find physical activities, cook smarter at home, and more in their National Nutrition Month® Celebration Toolkit.

Stuck on where to start? Adding more fruit and veggies to your diet may be easier than you think! Try boosting your servings simply by adding an apple or orange to your office lunch. If you’re looking for something a bit more creative, think about making our Roasted Cauliflower Soup. It’s a great way to shake things up – AND add important nutrients like vitamin C and potassium to your diet! While on the subject of sneaking things in, did you know that you can swap 100% fruit juice for half the oil in your homemade salad dressing? You’ll cut the fat, add extra flavor, and brighten up your salad with just a touch of sweetness. So next time you’re tossing a salad together, consider preparing our Grape Dressing — it may just be a new favorite!

Although a busy routine may make it difficult to fit in those fruits and vegetables, keep in mind that 100% fruit juice offers the perfect option to help meet your needs. Who’s up for a fun fruit blend – like this Orange Banana Smoothie? Snag more tips from our blog post here.
